last summer i joined an adult summer reading program and committed to reading at least 5 books by the end of summer. i used to devour books and 5 doesn't sound like that much. but the truth is that quiet moments to sit down and read are harder to find in this parenting season, plus there is knitting and sewing i'd like to get done, and a hubby who wants to engage in conversations with me (and vice versa, of course. although he too appreciates reading a lot!) so for this summer i am sticking to 5 books once again, of which i have so far chosen....
Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature-Deficit Disorder
Anne of Green Gables (as far as i get, but probably just the first book)
You Are a Writer (So Start Acting Like One) (an ebook)
You Are a Writer (So Start Acting Like One) (an ebook)
Me Before You
Nature in the Neighbourhood
it's quite a wild mix, with classics and non-fiction and even an ebook thrown in. i'd like to finish these 5 books by the end of august, so let's see how that goes. i'll keep you posted, and also write up reviews by the end of summer...
what are you planning to read this summer? any recommendations?
